The Langston University Lady Lions picked up their first doubleheader sweep of the season, defeating Haskell Indian Nations University 12-1 and 8-2 on Saturday at T.G. Green Park.

The Lady Lions picked up a season-high 12 runs and first run-rule victory of the season. As a team, the Lady Lions hit .454 (10-of-22) and the Fighting Indians managed to hit .210 (4-of-19).

Since 2010, Langston holds an 18-2 series lead over HINU and have currently won 18 straight games in the series.

The Lady Lions continued their offensive slugfest in game two, hitting .538 (14-of-26) as a team.

Gracelyn Rosales finished with a team-high five hits and five RBIs in the doubleheader sweep. Shadie Davis finished second on the team in hits with four and also tallied 5 RBIs.

Langston (2-2) returns to the mound on Wednesday, Feb. 22 versus Sterling College. Opening pitch is set for 1 p.m.
