On December 14, 2022 our deputies conducted a traffic stop on a pickup in Geary for speeding and other traffic violations. As our deputy spoke with the driver, James Marshall, he suspected narcotics may be in the vehicle. The deputy requested a K9 deputy to assist him. Our K9 alerted to the bed of the pickup truck. A search of the vehicle was conducted and deputies located a substantial amount of methamphetamine. Over 150 grams was located concealed in a bag in the bed of the truck. James Marshall was arrested and charged with drug trafficking.
Deputies and Investigators learned that the narcotics were picked up in Oklahoma City and were being taken to a location in Geary. Investigators are continuing to work with other state and local agencies to determine if more individuals were involved and who they are so that our Investigators can speak with them.
Marshall has been arrested in Blaine County on several prior occasions and is still currently facing these previous narcotics charges.
