Five players scored in double figures as the No. 15 Langston Lions remain undefeated after dispatching the Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies 102-59 on Saturday evening at the C.F. Gayles Field House.
The Lions roared to a commanding 52-25 halftime advantage after hitting 55 percent (20-of-36) from the field including five three-pointers and by contrast holding OPSU to 38 percent (eight-of-21). Langston continued to push the pace following halftime, leading by as much as 46 points in the second half.
Langston improves to 11-0 overall and 6-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference and is off to its best start since the 2018-19 season and notched their eighth victory of the season by 20 or more points.
Tristan Harper led Langston in scoring with 19 points, Cortez Mosley added 18 and D'Monte Brown finished with 16 on the night. AJ Rainey and Anthony White rounded out the double-digit scorers with 15 and 12 points respectively.
Collectively, Langston hit 57 percent (35-of-61) from the field and finished 22-of-31 from the free throw line. The Lions defense continued their dominance, holding the Aggies to 39 percent shooting (16-of-41) and forced 26 turnovers.
