Langston University Football Places 17 on SAC All-Conference Teams

The 2022 Sooner Athletic Conference football awards were unveiled with 17 Langston Lions being named to the first, second and honorable mention teams.

Langston linebacker Devin Dourisseau and Travis Martin were both named Sooner Athletic Conference All-SAC first team for their efforts.

Dourisseau finished with 56 total tackles, 33 solo, 9.0 tackles for loss, five pass breakups and three interceptions.

Martin finished the season with 16 total tackles, eight solo, two fumble recoveries, four interceptions and seven pass breakups.

Five players were selected to the All-SAC second in quarterback Larry Harrington, running back Markell Scott, wide receiver Bryon Hanspard, offensive lineman Kentre Lackey, defensive lineman James Grace and Keelen Ellison.

Harrington finished the year with 2,416 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns, 112 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. Scott anchored the ground game with 769 rushing yards on 110 carries with eight rushing touchdowns. He also hauled in 10 receptions for 89 yards with one touchdown and Hanspard led the Lions aerial attack with 29 receptions for 588 yards and six touchdowns on the season.

Grace tallied 32 total tackles, 18 solo with 3.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss and Ellison finished the season with 16 total tackles, seven solo, 1.5 tackles for loss and one forced fumble.

Additionally, defensive lineman Jamal Dorsey, defensive back Xzavion Florence, defensive back Isaiah Hall, defensive back Jaylen Kincaid, offensive lineman Chris Perry, offensive lineman Cameron Smith, tight end William Walter, punter Elliot Janish and kicker Octavio Resendiz were named honorable mention at their respective positions.
