HoopDirt.com unveiled their Week 4 HoopDirt.com Coach of the Week awards with Langston University's head men's basketball coach Chris Wright being named the NAIA Coach of the Week.
The Week 4 HoopDirt.com Coach of the Week is presented by Just Play Solutions. These coaches are now eligible to receive the HoopDirt.com National Coach of the Year Award presented by Just Play Solutions which will be announced at the conclusion of the 2022-23 college basketball season.
This is the eighth season that HoopDirt.com has run the Coach of the Week and Coach of the Year programs. The list of 2022-23 Coach of the Week winners, as well as the list of all-time COY winners can be found following this week's honorees.
Langston's Chris Wright received the award after going 3-0 this past week which includes wins over Central Christian (87-50), Oklahoma City University (62-55) and John Brown University (78-46). Wright took over a program that went 1-27 last season, and now has them at 9-0 overall and ranked 15th in the NAIA. The #15 Lions pushed their Sooner Athletic Conference record to a perfect 5-0 (0-22) last year). Saturday's win snapped a nine-game losing streak vs John Brown University.
