Langston University's Tristan Harper collected Sooner Athletic Conference men's basketball player of the week for Nov. 14-20.
Harper, a senior from Columbus, Ga., became the first Langston Lion to take Oklahoma Ford Dealers SAC player of the week since Stevie Pringle grabbed the accolade for Nov. 25-Dec. 1, 2019.
Harper amassed 35 points and five rebounds while nailing all five of his 3-point shots, 10-for-13 from the field and 10-of-14 from the free-throw line Saturday against Southwestern Christian at C.F. Gayles Field House.
On the week, Harper recorded 24.5 points and 8.5 rebounds a game while shooting 63.6 percent from the floor, 71.4 percent from 3-point land and 72.7 percent from the free-throw line. Harper added his first double-double of the season at Mid-America Christian on Thursday with 14 points, 12 rebounds and two steals.
In 2022-23, Harper has turned in 21.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest with a 64.9 percent field-goal percentage, 62.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc and 82.1 percent shooting at the free-throw line.
