The Langston University Lady Lions fell short in their matchup versus John Brown University on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Bill George Arena.
The Golden Eagles picked up wins in sets one and two by counts of 25-15 and 25-16. Langston countered in the third set but ultimately fell short 25-20 to move them to 5-5 overall on the season and 3-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Angel Smith led the team in kills with five, Allanah Drayton-Campbell tallied 10 assists and Samantha Clements registered 14 digs.
The Langston Lady Lions (5-5, 0-3 SAC) travel to face Central Christian on Saturday, Sept. 9 in McPherson, Kan. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
