In their first home matchup of the season, the Langston Lady Lions fell short 3-1 (9-25, 13-25, 25-22, 21-25) on Tuesday evening.
The Threshers came out strong, taking the first two sets 25-9 and 25-13. The Lady Lions countered with a 25-22 set three victory, tallying 13 kills on a .188 hitting percentage but fell short in the final frame 25-21.
Brieanna Owens led Langston in kills with 12, Allanah Drayton-Campbel tallied three service aces and 19 assists. Samantha Clements tallied double digits in digs with 20.
