Scholarship deadlines are right around the corner for returning Oklahoma State University students looking for help to pay for their education.

Deadlines and key dates for prominent national scholarships are as follows:

These prestigious scholarship applications are due summer of 2023. All of these require institutional nominations, which are due in the late spring.

The Marshall Scholarship:  Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to 50 scholars are selected each year to study at the graduate level at a U.K. institution in any field of study.

The Mitchell Scholarship: The Mitchell Scholarship is designed to introduce and connect future American leaders to the island of Ireland while recognizing and fostering academic excellence, leadership and a commitment to public service.

The Rhodes Scholarship: The Rhodes Trust is an educational charity that supports exceptional students from around the world to study at the University of Oxford.

College of Arts and Sciences

All CAS undergraduate students enrolled full time and in good academic standing are considered automatically. The selection process considers academic merit, financial need and other donor-specific factors.

College of Education and Human Sciences

Deadline is Jan. 3.For questions, contact elizabeth.whitfield@okstate.edu

College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology

Deadline is Jan. 31.

College of Veterinary Medicine

College of Veterinary Medicine students will be notified late in the fall semester via email when the scholarship application opens and of subsequent deadlines.  

Ferguson College of Agriculture

Continuing student scholarship applications for 2023-2024 are due Jan. 23.

Honors College

Every active honors student is automatically considered for awards and selections are made on the basis of financial need (determined by a student’s FAFSA).

OSU Library

Deadline is Jan. 31. All students working at the OSU Library are eligible to apply.

School of Global Studies and Partnerships

Deadline is April 1.

Other scholarships Wentz Research Scholarship:

Applications are due Feb. 15. Each year, $4,500 one-year Wentz Research Scholarships are awarded to approximately 40 undergraduates to conduct independent research with the guidance of a faculty mentor in any field of study. Wentz applicants with majors and/or minors in chemistry, geology and physics are eligible for the Purdie Research Scholarship, a $6,500 award for research in those specific fields.

Niblack Research Scholarship: Applications are due on Feb. 10, this includes all five components of a completed Niblack Research Scholar Application (including the essay), résumé, OSU Transcript (unofficial is acceptable), the completed and signed Faculty Sponsor Form and the letter of recommendation from an OSU faculty member other than your faculty sponsor who is familiar with the student’s academic work

Student veteran and military-affiliated (active duty, National Guard, reservists and dependents) scholarship deadlines are Feb. 22.
