Langston University Women’s Basketball Knocks Off LSU-Alexandria

The Langston Lady Lions picked up their first win of the season by knocking off LSU-Alexandria 69-44 to close out the LSU-Shreveport Classic on Saturday.

The Lady Lions stormed out of the gate, leading 31-14 at the conclusion of the first quarter. Langston never trailed the rest of the way, sealing the first Langston victory for head coach Kevin Herod.

Kameron Shelley posted 21 points on the night on nine-of-13 shooting; Hailey Jordan chipped in 12 points in 27 minutes of action.

The Langston Lady Lions (1-1) hit the road to face Louisiana State University in an exhibition matchup scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. in Baton Rouge, La.
