Four players scored in double figures as the 15th ranked Langston University Lions defeated the John Brown University Golden Eagles 78-46 on Saturday at Bill George Arena.

The Lions built a 12-point halftime advantage at 35-23 and pushed it to as much as 32 points, improving to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference in their victory over the Golden Eagles.

Langston snapped a nine-game losing streak to the Golden Eagles, dating back to the 2018-19 season. Saturday’s victory is also the sixth victory the Lions have won by 20 or more points this season under head coach Chris Wright.

Collectively, Langston hit 52 percent (27-of-52) from the field and converted 22-of-28 free throw attempts. Tristan Harper and D’Monte Brown both led Langston in scoring with 14 points apiece. A.J. Rainey and Chereef Knox also tallied double digits with 10 points apiece.
