Langston University Lady Lions Hold Off OPSU Aggies 66-56

Three players scored in double figures as the Langston Lady Lions defeated Oklahoma Panhandle State 66-56 on Saturday at C.F. Gayles Field House.

Langston controlled the game early, leading 15-8 entering the second quarter. The Aggies rallied in the second quarter and the Lady Lions entered halftime up 28-25. The turning point came in the third quarter when Langston outscored OPSU 26-15 and led by as much as 16 points.

OPSU trimmed the lead to eight late in the fourth but was unable to bridge the gap as the Lady Lions pushed their winning streak to five games and improved to 10-2 overall and 5-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

Aminata Seck led Langston in scoring with 16 points, Anyia Pride registered a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards and Koreea Kirksey rounded out the digit scorers with 11 points.
