Four players scored in double figures as the Langston Lady Lions knocked off the Southwestern Assemblies of God Lions 68-57 on Saturday to close out the regular season at C.F. Gayles Field House.

For the first three quarters neither squad gained an advantage as SAGU entered the fourth quarter in front 46-43. The Lady Lions remain unfazed, roaring back to life in the fourth by outscoring the Lions 25-10 to pick up the 68-57 victory.

Anyia Pride finished with a team-high 15 points, Adia Rogers added 12 along with Koreea Kirksey and Kameron Shelley picking up 10 points apiece.

Collectively, the Lady Lions hit 32 percent (20-of-62) on the night and finished 25-of-35 from the free throw line.

Langston finishes the regular season at 16-12 overall and 11-11 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Lady Lions have clinched a top-eight seed in the SAC Women’s Basketball tournament set to begin on Thursday, Feb. 23. Opponent and game times are TBA.
